In the process of making some "long Reach Clamps" {Wooden Boat No.240} I noticed a characteristic that they had.
That inspired me to put together a new type of clamp that, among other things, could be used in Clinker boat construction.
I call it a "Hammer Clamp".
Or, if you will, a "Slam it together Clamp".
They are simple and therefore inexpensive.
I think I could make them for about Ten Dollars apiece in 100 lot quantities.{Vs 60 Dollars for the Wooden Boat Clamp}
I have reason to believe no one ever built anything like it before.
See the picture below and note that the moveable jaw is longer than the fixed one for hammering it open.
I would be willing to loan them to someone doing Clinker construction to see how useful they would be
