Navarro Canoe

I have a lovely wood and fiberglass Navarro canoe that needs some repair work to the outer wood gunnels and decks.

I have no skills in this and wonder if anyone would know of someone in the Newport OR area who might take this on.

I know this is an old post, but did you get your canoe repaired?

If not, I don't know anyone in Newport but have done a couple of Navarro restorations (rib repair, gunwale and deck replacement) as a hobby thing and might consider doing another.

I am in Portland, however. I'll watch the forum to see if there is a reply.

most carpenters will spend to or three days most have worked with class products he may not be boat people but a boat finished is like fine furniter its just lost its luster do the math wages and products then your best beat is just to look after it you may try a high school thats where i started it will coast less and you may be doing a life change for a student if you have a picture that may make it simple or ask mike good luck
