1957 Lightning

Bought the boat for $700 on Cape Cod, MA US.

This is my first wooden boat restoration project and I'm taking my sweet time doing it.

Trailer needs a complete rebuild with new bunks, new wiring and lights.

The boat itself, is in fair condition.

There is some hull patch work to do.

She's fiberglass over wood.

Luckily I know just enough to get the job done.

She needs a bunch of varnish work.

The mast especially needs to be stripped of all rigging, faired, sanded and put back together.

For now, she's covered for the winter.

I'll get started as soon as the snow is gone.
